Golden Hour at Offield: Jennifer + Johnny’s Northern Michigan Engagement

Some love stories are just extra special to document and Jennifer and Johnny’s engagement session in Harbor Springs, Michigan was absolutely one of them.

We’ve known Jennifer and Johnny for a long time, and getting to photograph this season of their lives felt especially meaningful. When they reached out to plan their engagement photos in Northern Michigan, we were genuinely honored to help tell this part of their story.

They chose Offield Family Viewlands Nature Preserve in Harbor Springs for their engagement session and it was the perfect choice. So many options for location with its open meadows, winding trails, and sweeping views of Lake Michigan, it’s one of our favorite spots for engagement photography in Northern Michigan and beyond. We timed the session just right for golden hour, and the light did not disappoint.

Jennifer and Johnny moved through the preserve with so much ease laughing, walking hand in hand, soaking in the last light of the day. These two don’t need a lot of posing. Their connection speaks for itself, and the result was a gallery full of natural, joyful moments that we know they’ll treasure for years.
